3D Pro ML is Zirdent's graded multilayer zirconia disc. Shade, translucency and strength change gradually through the disc: the cervical zone is 3Y-TZP tetragonal zirconia and the incisal zone is 5Y-TZP cubic zirconia. One blank therefore spans 800–1200 MPa flexural strength and 42–49% translucency, and Zirdent states that the transitions leave no visible lines.
One disc for many indications
Zirdent lists the disc for veneers, inlays and onlays, copings, anterior and posterior crowns, 3-unit and full-arch bridges, implant crowns and bridges, and abutments. The recommended minimum wall thickness for veneers and anterior crowns is 0.5 mm.
Shades and formats
The disc comes in 16 VITA® shades (A1–D4) and four bleach shades (BL1–BL4), as 98 mm, 95 mm and 92 × 75 mm formats from 10 to 25 mm thick. It is made from Sinocera® zirconia powder.
