The Cmill-A5 is Zirdent's five-axis simultaneous dry milling machine for disc materials: zirconia, PMMA, wax and PEEK. It mills dry with vacuum extraction, using an air-cooled spindle and a clean compressed-air supply of 0.5–0.8 MPa.
Holders and tools
The fixture holds one 98 mm disc, 10–25 mm thick. A five-position magazine changes tools automatically, and Zirdent gives a positioning accuracy of 0.005 mm.
What it makes
Zirdent lists copings, crowns, bridges and inlays, with average milling times of 6–8 minutes for zirconia and 30–40 minutes for a model.
Compared with the Cmill-A5 Pro
The A5 is smaller and lighter (630 × 500 × 655 mm, 83 kg, 1.75 kW). The A5 Pro adds wet milling for glass ceramic and titanium and a 15-tool magazine.
