The ZDS-V5 is Zirdent's handheld intraoral scanner for digital impressions. It scans without powder, records continuous video with a CMOS sensor, and Zirdent states an accuracy of 10 µm for a single crown and 20 µm or better for a full arch.
Handpiece and tips
The handpiece weighs 160 g without its cable and connects over wired USB 3.0 (Type-C). It comes with three standard tips (16 × 14 mm scan area), one mini tip (12 × 10 mm) and a protective cover. The tips can be steam-sterilised at 134 °C for up to 100 cycles.
Software and files
The software covers restorative, implant and orthodontic workflows, shows the 3D model in real time, includes patient management and runs in 12 languages. Scans export as STL, colour PLY or OBJ files for third-party CAD software.
